Father, help us to recognize that Your presence goes with us wherever we go.
Help us to grow to be more like You every day, being patient, humble and gentle with each other.
Help us to be of one spirit and of one mind and value each other above ourselves.

Today is Pentecost, the celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit.
In my opinion the Holy Spirit is at the root of all religious faith.
It is the energy that connects us all. It is the inner voice which guides us.
Serenity, Courage, Wisdom.

Today I was reminded how lucky I am to have great friends. Two of my closest friends escaped serious injury while helping me with a “home improvement” project. A lifelong friend whom I love dearly traveled hours to see my wife and I to share his love, joy and day to day struggles with us.

Nothing about my friends is ordinary.
They are amazing.

God, Thank You for the blessing of great friends.
Help me to be as good a friend to them as they are to me.
Amen

There are days when I simply struggle with a difficult situation. I worry about those I love and struggle to find a way to help. Sometimes things are just out of my control.
Lord God, I know You are here.
I trust in Your presence, Your power, Your goodness, and Your complete control over everything I’m facing.
Help me walk through the questions, assured of Your answers, even though they’re still unclear to me.
I know that even now, when I don’t understand, I have You with me, and that is all that matters.
I love You and I trust You,

Let me be safe

Let me be happy
Let me be prosperous

Most of us have faced disappointments, which have taught us that we can only depend upon ourselves.
But living the life God has called us to means unlearning that lesson.
There is a flow of energy in the universe…
When we go against the flow, we struggle.
When we allow God’s spirit to shape and influence our thoughts, words and actions… we find harmony.
We are meant to rest in God’s understanding.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).
Today is going to be a wonderful day.
