Day 157

“Prayer… is the breath of the human soul”

One of the things I love about meditation and yoga classes, is how they start with awareness and focus on the simple act of breathing. After 30 seconds of breathing exercises, I immediately feel better, calmer, more relaxed, ready.

I am embarrassed to say that there are days, sometimes weeks that go by, especially when my life is extremely hectic, that I feel like I am forgetting to breathe. My mind and body are racing from task to task, meeting to meeting, call to call.

Just like breathing is essential to the body, prayer is essential to the soul.

God,

Renew my Body, Mind and Soul.

Guide me in my daily activities to always treat others with love and compassion.

Help me to seek, find and listen to those that love and support me.

Amen.
