I know You are with me.

Thank You for my wonderful wife.

Thank You for her thoughtful words and actions.

Thank You for her friendship.

Thank You for her love and care of our children.

Thank You for her smile and laughter.

Thank You for her faith and dedication.

Bless her today and every day.

God,

It is with a heavy heart I pray today.

I think of the suffering Jesus endured: the betrayal, the injustice, the torture, the humiliation… the worst mental and physical abuse humanity could fashion.

There are so many suffering around the world.

I kneel and pray that You end the needless suffering of all souls.

Give them hope.

Lend them strength.

Bless them with peace.

Amen

 

 

Prayer of The Seven Directions

Begin facing EAST- This is where the sun comes up, and so the direction of new beginnings, hope, promise, and potential. Pray that you may be open to receiving these gifts this day.

Turn SOUTH – This is the direction of warmth, growth, fertility, also known as creativity and productivity. In addition, this direction represents faith, trust, and faithfulness in relationships. Pray for these things this day.

Turn WEST – This is the direction where the sun goes down. Thus, it is the direction of rest, of our dream lives, and of closure and endings that need to take place in order for there to be new beginnings. Pray for these things this day.

Turn NORTH – This is the direction of the cold, of winds, of strength, courage, fortitude, might, single-mindedness, focus, clarity and purpose. Pray for these things this day.

Turn back to the EAST and turn UPWARD – Pray that your heart, mind, soul, and spirit will not forget to look upward this day, to the One who is so much greater than we are.

Turn DOWNWARD – and touch our Mother, the earth. Pray that everything you do this day will be in honor and reverence of our Mother Earth.

Turn INWARD- Place your hand on your heart and pray that all that you do this day will be true to the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit who dwells within you.

Thank you for a new day.

Protect my wife and children.

Protect my extended family and friends.

Protect all of our healthcare professionals.

Amen.

I know that You are listening.
Shape my thoughts, words, and actions to lead with love and compassion.
Give strength and protect all those that are working to heal and bring peace to the sick and the suffering.
Provide inspiration to help us solve every problem we are facing.

Each day is presenting a new obstacle, a new challenge, a new crisis.

Help me to be calm and patient so I am able to make the best decisions possible and treat all those around me with love and respect.

Bless us and keep us safe.

Heal the sick and bring peace to the world.

Comfort us in our time of trouble, so that we may comfort those that are suffering.

Protect all the beloved health and safety professionals and volunteers risking their well-being to help others.

Please send Your guidance and grace to those who lead our government so they may lead us with courage, determination, and clarity.

I pray for peace.

Bring peace to our older loved ones by easing any pain and suffering they are experiencing.

Bring peace to a mothers and fathers worried about keeping their families safe.

Bring peace to our soldiers that are alone far away from home.

Bring peace to a high school student anxious about getting into the college of their dreams.

Bring peace to our young children who should be out playing with their friends.

Bring peace to every infant and keep them safe from harm.
