Day 114

Prayers and Blessings come in many forms… received an email this morning with a quote of the day and was reminded how special each day is.

“What day is it?” asked Pooh.

“It’s today,” squeaked Piglet.

“My favorite day,” said Pooh.”

– A.A. Milne

God,
Thank You for the gift of today
I am loved.
I am special.
I am living a life of purpose.
Thank You for filling my heart with the hope of tomorrow.
Amen.

Day 113

God,

Help me to trust and have faith in the path you have created for me.

Help me to see through frustration and reach understanding.

Help me to replace worry with belief,

Help me to transform fear into confidence.

Help me to love others as you love me.

Amen.

Day 111

Recently attended the memorial services for a good friend to bury his ashes. After several months to gather and say good bye to the last of his physical remains was hard. To see his ashes in a box reminded me of my favorite prayer.

Do not put God in a box.

David beat Goliath

Mandela was in prison before he went on to become president of South Africa.

With God all things are possible.

Day 110

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

This Sanskrit mantra can be practiced to attain freedom (moksha) from Samsara – the “Karmic Wheel” that keeps us bound to cycle after cycle of incarnations.

This liberation mantra is a karmic eraser. Chanting this mantra with a sincere heart frees your mind and spirit from negative patterns in this life and helps us realize ourselves as a manifestation of transcendent divinity.

Furthermore, when we chant Sanskrit mantras, our normal perception of the world dissolves and we elevate to the spiritual fields of energy represented by the sounds.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Day 108

God,

Give me grace to pray and address you with my heart.

You are everywhere present, from you no secret can be hidden.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

and where there is sadness, joy.

Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

to be understood as to understand;

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

Day 107

We all yearn for love and acceptance and look to family and friends to extend it to us. Just received a warm hug from my brother. A hug is such a blessing, it gives us assurance that we are loved.

God,

Thank You for all those who see me, and receive me,

who know me and fully love me.

Amen.

Day 106

Spirit, Mind, Body

First, spirit; Second, mind; Third, body.

The spirit controls the mind and the mind controls the body. In other words, the mind tells the body what too do. This is character. The mind tells the body when to get up in the morning, when to go to bed at night, what to eat, how much to eat, when to work, when to quit work.

Not only does the mind tell the body what to do, but the spirit tells the mind what to do. We could go a step farther and say the spirit tells the mind what to tell the body to do. When the mind is controlled by the spirit and the body is controlled by the mind, then the body is controlled by the spirit. When a person’s spirit controls his mind and his mind controls his body, he has learned something about the priorities in life.
