Day 185

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

and where there is sadness, joy.

grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

to be understood as to understand;

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Day 184

God,

Thank You for your infinite love.

I am loved by amazing parents.

I am loved by encouraging and supportive brothers and sisters.

I am loved by a wonderful, strong, intelligent, inspiring wife.

I am loved by two sons

I am loved by friends that make the good times better and the bad times easier.

Your love surrounds me every day.

Amen.

Day 182

God,

Thank You for walking with me through another day.

Help me to trust and have faith in the path You have created for me.

Help me to see through frustration and reach understanding.

Help me to replace worry with belief,

Help me to transform fear into confidence.

Help me to love others as You love me.

Amen.

Day 181

Why do I pray every day?

I pray for safety, I pray for health, I pray for happiness, I pray for peace.

I pray with gratitude.

I pray with compassion.

I pray with love.

My prayers are not a contract or deal that I am trying to make with God. Prayer is my way of spending time in God’s presence with the hope of developing a sensitivity and connection to the Holy Spirit that lives in and around all of us. Selfishly I want to learn how to “Go with the flow” rather than swim against the current and struggle.

Here is the rub… even if I am going with the flow, not every river is a peaceful stream. Some rivers flow down mountains as white water rapids, some rivers lead to powerful waterfalls, and some rivers run dry.

My prayers do not guarantee a shady, quiet, peaceful stream. My prayers help me to understand that stream, rapids, waterfall or my time to evaporate and run dry, I can live in harmony with God and the Universe.

I can live with gratitude.

I can live with compassion.

I can live with love.

God,

Help me to love all those around me as You love me.

May I be like the sun and shine without judgement.

Help me to love others not because of who they are, but because of who I am.

Amen.

Day 180

THE ALPHABET PRAYER… I had heard a version of this story in Church and love the message.

A little shepherd boy was watching his sheep one Sunday morning and he heard the bells of the church ringing. As he watched the people walk along the pasture where he was, he happened to think to himself, “I would like to communicate with God! But, what can I say to God?” He had never learned a prayer.

So, on bended knee, he began to recite the alphabet. Repeating this prayer several times, a man passing by, heard the boy’s voice and peaked through the bushes. He saw the young boy kneeling with folded hands, eyes closed, repeating the alphabet.

He interrupted the boy. “What are you doing, my little one?” he asked. The boy replied, “I was praying sir.” The man seemed surprised and said, “But why are you reciting the alphabet?” The boy explained, “I don’t know any prayers, sir. But I want God to take care of me, and to help me care for my sheep. And so I thought, if I said all I knew, He could put the letters together into words, and He would know all that I want and should say!”

Day 179

It is tough for me to accept that bad things happen in spite of my sincere prayers. I pray for understanding, I pray for peace, I pray with gratitude, I pray with love and compassion in my heart.

And still bad things happen.

As I type this I remind myself that adversity creates unique opportunities for growth.

God,

Help me to embrace every challenge that comes my way as an opportunity… rather than an inconvenience.

Remind me that my circumstances may change, my feelings may come and go, but Your love for me is infinite and eternal.

Amen.

Day 178

God,

Help me to trust and have faith in the path you have created for me.

Help me to see through frustration and reach understanding.

Help me to replace worry with belief,

Help me to transform fear into confidence.

Help me to love others as you love me.

Amen.

Day 176

Dear God,

Thank you for so many blessings in my life.

Thank you for this opportunity to be alive here and now.

Help me to let go of all the perspectives and beliefs and insecurities blocking me from aligning with what is in my core, with the truth of my spirit, so that when I shine with truth, when I am of service in the world in alignment with the highest interest of all, I am naturally in the flow of abundance…. Attracting to me the right people, the right relationships and situations and opportunities and blessings to be of service, to give value in the world and to open up to receive abundance.

Help me to release and clear out whatever is blocking me off from the infinite flow of abundance and help me to see and perceive and feel the abundance already present in my life.

Help me to cultivate gratitude and the divine energy inside me, so that I shine with more light and truth and naturally resonate and attract the blessings and the highest possibilities available to me.

Thank you for your clear guidance. Thank you for stepping forward to guide, assist, and support me in aligning with the possibilities, opportunities, and blessings of abundance in my life.

I thank You. I love You.

Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha.

Amen.
