Day 33

We are connected to the universe, not just each other. The power of the earth, water, plants, clouds, moon, sun and stars can give us a grounding strength which calms the spirit. Give thanks and let the energy resonate within you.
We return thanks to our mother, the earth, which sustains us.
We return thanks to the rivers and streams, which supply us with water.
We return thanks to all herbs, which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases.
We return thanks to the corn, and to her sisters, the beans and squash, which give us life.
We return thanks to the bushes and trees, which provide us with fruit.
We return thanks to the wind, which, moving the air,
has banished diseases.
We return thanks to the moon and the stars, which have given us their light when the sun was gone.
We return thanks to our grandfather He-no, who has given to us his rain.
We return thanks to the sun, that he has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.
Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit.

Day 31

I frequently think of Nana and her prayer shawl ministry. The thought of each stitch being a prayer or intention of healing and protection is incredibly powerful.
I wish she was alive to knit a wedding shawl for your wedding ceremony.

Day 30

“Being right is overrated. You can be right and miserable. You can win every battle and destroy your relationships”.
God help me to see clearly what really matters in my life… my health, my safety, my relationships, my happiness.
Help me to know that I have already won the battle that counts.
I have chosen a life of spirituality and my spirit will never die.
