Dear God,
I want to take a moment and not ask anything of You,
But simply say thank You for all I have.
Amen

Any prayer said with a sincere heart is heard by God.
Some people claim that they do not pray often because they do not know what to say; they do not “know any prayers”.
I heard the story of the “Alphabet Prayer” for the first time.
God,
I sincerely pray to You the whole alphabet
knowing You will put the words together to reflect what is in my heart.

Excerpt from the Buddha’s Middle discourses on Mindfulness Meditation.
“They meditate observing feelings as liable to originate, as liable to vanish, and as liable to both originate and vanish”
And how does a mendicant meditate observing an aspect of feelings? It’s when a mendicant who feels a pleasant feeling knows: ‘I feel a pleasant feeling.’
When they feel a painful feeling, they know: ‘I feel a painful feeling.’
When they feel a neutral feeling, they know: ‘I feel a neutral feeling.’
When they feel a material pleasant feeling, they know: ‘I feel a material pleasant feeling.’
When they feel a spiritual pleasant feeling, they know: ‘I feel a spiritual pleasant feeling.’
When they feel a material painful feeling, they know: ‘I feel a material painful feeling.’
When they feel a spiritual painful feeling, they know: ‘I feel a spiritual painful
feeling.’
When they feel a material neutral feeling, they know: ‘I feel a material neutral feeling.’
When they feel a spiritual neutral feeling, they know: ‘I feel a spiritual neutral feeling.’
And so they meditate observing an aspect of the feelings internally, externally, and both internally and externally. They meditate observing feelings as liable to originate, as liable to vanish, and as liable to both originate and vanish. Our mindfulness is established that feelings exist, to the extent necessary for knowledge and mindfulness. They meditate independent, not grasping at anything in the world. That’s how a mendicant meditates by observing an aspect of feelings.
I was recently asked by a family member to share my thoughts on the Holy Trinity. As my understanding and relationship with God has grown, I have learned that the Holy Spirit is one of the greatest gifts from God. It is the voice we hear, the wind at our back, the sun warming our face, the rain that refreshes, the energy that connects us, the infinite love that unites us.
Holy Spirit,
Divine guest of my soul,
abide in me
and grant that I may ever abide in You.
God the Holy Spirit,
have mercy on us.
Amen.
Dear God,
Help me to remain calm and strong in
the face of all that comes towards me today.
Help me seek pure thoughts and act
with the intention of helping others.
Help me find compassion without
empathy overwhelming me.
Amen.
Lord help me
to remember
that nothing
is going to happen
to me that You and I
together can’t handle.
Amen.
Some days I feel like I take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back.
God,
Help me to trust and have faith in the path you have created for me.
Help me to see through frustration and reach understanding.
Help me to replace worry with belief,
Help me to transform fear into confidence.
Help me to love others as you love me.
Amen.
“To have PEACE does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” -unknown
GOD,
I ask you to strengthen my mind, body and spirit.
When I’m weary, may I be refreshed.
When I’m worn, may I be renewed.
When I’m broken, may I be restored.
When I’m fearful, may I become faithful.
May I walk in complete confidence knowing that You are with me.
Amen.
Native American inspiration as a Thank You and reminder that I am forever connected to the souls that have received me.
Thank You God for the blessing of friendship and for the circle of love that surrounds me and my family. My friends have brought such joy and encouragement into my life, may I always be grateful and return the love, compassion and joy I am blessed to receive.
Amen.
